This photoblog charts the creation of the Treanors' Grand Design in Kaitoke, New Zealand 1 year from the start of our search for a piece of land to build a house and live the country lifestyle. After seeing around 20 sections and one failed purchase, we finally bought 2.6 hectares on the Kaitoke Loop Road on 1 March 2007. One week later the build was underway and is expected to last around 6 months to complete. Then we'll really start living the dream here in New Zealand.

Hey - if you're using Moss Bross to build your house will it:
a) Be black
b) Look OK from the front but far too big from the back
c) Have fag burns down the side
d) Have pockets full of confetti
e) Have to be returned a week on Friday?
Just wondered.
Hmm, think we may have a little brand confusion. This Moss Bros doesn't do a fetching line in wedding waistcoats either!
